Food councils are coalitions that represent community stakeholders from an array of backgrounds and organizations that come together to improve local food systems and/or address issues of hunger.

Other names for food councils can include food policy council, food access coalition, hunger councils, and more. The membership, structure, funding, and function of food councils can vary depending on the needs of the communities they serve. New Hampshire Hunger Solutions supports, participates in, facilitates, and provides technical assistance to regional and statewide food councils and coalitions across New Hampshire.

NH Food Access Coalition

The coalition is a cross-sectoral group of stakeholders across the food system, government, non-profit, public health and healthcare that meets monthly to identify and address issues of food access in New Hampshire.

SNAP Coalition

The SNAP coalition is a subgroup of the New Hampshire Food Access Coalition that meets to address the low SNAP enrollment in NH.

The primary goal of the SNAP Coalition is to increase SNAP participation in NH.

Nutrition and Health Equity Work Group

NH Nutrition Action Research Network

This group works on administrative policy and systems change to improve access to food and nutrition supports through healthcare.

NH Food Alliance

NH Food Alliance is a statewide network that connects the people, business, organizations, and communities dedicated to growing a thriving, fair, and sustainable local food system in the Granite State.

The Nutrition Access Research Network is a collaboration of academic and institutional researchers and community based organizations working together to design reseach and collect data that will improve access to nutrition.

FArm to early care NH

Farm to Early Care NH supports high-quality early care and education programs in NH by increasing access to local, healthy foods, and educational opportunities for early care educators, children, families, and communities.
